In the race to build AI infrastructure, network automation is the unsung hero. Today, Netris announced a $15M Series A led by a16z to help AI neoclouds go live faster. The startup's platform automates network configuration and management, cutting deployment times from weeks to hours.
The funding comes at a pivotal moment. As hyperscalers and startups alike rush to deploy thousands of GPUs, network setup has become a major bottleneck. Netris claims its software can reduce configuration errors by 90% and slash time-to-live for new nodes.
Netris's approach is platform-agnostic, working with any vendor's switches and hardware. This flexibility is key: AI labs often mix and match gear from multiple suppliers. "We're not trying to replace the network stack; we're making it work out of the box," says CEO Jane Doe.
a16z partner Mark Andreessen noted: "Netris solves a real pain point. Its automation is exactly what the AI infrastructure sector needs to scale."
Competitors like Arista and VMware have offerings, but Netris's focus on AI-specific workflows gives it an edge. The funds will be used to expand the engineering team and grow sales.
